Mola Rotunda
Each player has three stones (black or white). Players take turns placing them on the intersections of the board, aiming to form a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line.
If no line can be formed immediately, stones may be moved to adjacent free intersections. Jumping over opponent’s stones is not allowed.
Goal: Be the first to form a line.
Tria
Each player has three dice and up to three attempts to roll three matching numbers. After each roll, you may set aside matching dice and reroll the rest.
Example: If you roll two fives and one six, keep the fives and try to roll another five.
Goal: Get the best matching set.
XXXI
Each player rolls three dice and has up to three attempts to reach a total of 31. You may choose to roll fewer dice in later attempts.
If you don’t reach 31, you get one final (fourth) roll. If your total exceeds 31, you are out.
Goal: Reach exactly 31 or get as close as possible below it.
Quinque
Each player rolls three dice at the same time until someone rolls a total of 5 (e.g. 1-1-3 or 1-2-2) in a single throw.
If multiple players succeed at once, only they continue playing.
Goal: Be the last player to roll exactly 5.
Curriculum Alea
Every second player starts with one die. Players roll as fast as possible.
When a player rolls a six, they pass the die to the player on their right, who continues rolling.
If a player ends up with two dice at the same time, they are eliminated.
Goal: Be the first of the last two players to roll a six.
Alquerque
Each player has 12 stones (black or white). Stones are placed on the board in the starting formation, leaving the center empty.
Stones move along the lines. Opponent’s stones are captured by jumping over them. Multiple captures in one turn are allowed. Capturing is mandatory if possible.
Goal: Capture all opponent’s stones.
Tris
Each player has three stones. Players take turns placing them on the board.
After placement, stones can move in all directions (vertical, horizontal, diagonal), but cannot jump over others.
Goal: Be the first to align all three stones in a row.
Ludus Latrunculorum
Each player has 16 stones placed on opposite sides of the board. Players take turns moving their stones horizontally or vertically across any number of spaces (no jumping).
A stone is captured when it is trapped between two opposing stones.
Goal: Capture all opponent’s stones.
