In the Footsteps of the Romans in collaboration with the Römerregion Chiemsee

Visitors to the exhibition can also explore Roman history in the surrounding area: In collaboration with the Römerregion Chiemsee, several initiatives have been developed that combine a visit to the Lokschuppen with excursions to Roman archaeological sites, museums, and guided tours around Lake Chiemsee—making a visit to the Lokschuppen and the Chiemsee Roman Region doubly worthwhile:

Bookmark Campaign

Starting in mid-March, a free bookmark will be distributed in the Chiemsee Roman Region. This also serves as a voucher for a free audio guide at the exhibition THE ROMANS at the Lokschuppen. Visitors can obtain the bookmark, for example, during guided tours in the Roman Region, during museum visits, or at participating tourist information offices.

Roman Discount Campaign

Visitors who have seen the exhibition at the Lokschuppen can also enjoy benefits in the Römerregion Chiemsee afterward: Upon presenting an exhibition ticket, visitors receive discounts on admission or special offers at various museums, on guided tours, or at historical sites. Bead Collection Campaign

A starter set, consisting of a leather cord and a first bead, is available in the Lokschuppen shop. This set can also be purchased at participating tourist information offices in the Roman Region for just 2.50 euros. Visitors can then collect additional beads—for example, during guided tours, museum visits, or at tourist information offices in the region—and thus create their own personal memento of Roman history around Lake Chiemsee.
