Choice of workshops:

Workshop bracelett
Age 5 and older

Design your own Roman bracelet like those worn 2,000 years ago! You will emboss typical patterns into shiny metal foil and attach them to leather. In the process, you will learn about the significance of jewelry for the Romans.

Workshop mosaic
Age 8 and older

The students learn about Roman mosaics and then design their own small work of art – stone by stone. At the end, all the individual pieces are put together to form a large communal mosaic.

Workshop fibula
Age 8 and older

Travel back to ancient Roman times and design your own fibula—a Roman garment clasp. Your personal piece of history is created from a genuine cast, which you can color, attach a pin to, and
then wear.

Workshop LOCDVNVM: Age 6 and older

In this workshop, participants will work together to build a Roman city typical of the Roman era: LOCDVNVM. Built using original LEGO® bricks*! Following the instructions, each child will build a set that will be assembled into a large city as part of the exhibition. The exhibition educator will clearly explain how a Roman city was structured and functioned. At the end, each child will mint their own coin as a souvenir.

*The design and construction plans were developed by independent model builders specifically for this project. LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group, which is not involved in this project.
