Cocoa mug
Cocoa was the most precious drink of the Maya. Only priests, novelty and monarchs had the pleasure of enjoying it in purpose-built painted ceramic mugs. Each workshop participant paints his/her own cocoa mug with ceramic paint.
Duration: approx. 60 minutes
Prices: 50,00 € lump sum price for up to 15 participants
Each additional participant costs 4,00 €.

Mayan writing:
This workshop offers an opportunity to delve deeply into the Mayan books and hieroglyphs. After binding their own folded books the participants fill it with typical patterns, pictures or hieroglyphs.

Family Day
Every first Saturday of the month is Family Day. It starts with a guided tour for families at 11.30, followed by handcraft workshops with our museum pedagogues. No booking required.

Correct planing:
Please take approximately 15 minutes delay at the cashier and the wardrobe into consideration. Due to insurance reasons coats, thick jackets, bigger bags, backpacks and umbrellas are not allowed to be taken into the exhibition. Please do not take any food or drinks into the exhibition area. At the entrance area you can find the café bistro “Lok”. Our colleagues at the information desk will be happy to help you find a place for your snack break. A changing place for babies can be found in the foyer.
